Communication: LG P42PX5D tv - We Feel that This is an Overall Winner
Buying a new television nowadays is a major investment. If you are going to spend what could be considered a small fortune or at the very least a large amount of money then it would be prudent to try and make the correct decision at the outset.
The way that technology changes so quickly nowadays you would be wise to consider carefully any investment and try and ensure that it remains compliant with all possible standards.
Digital television (DTT) is a telecommunication system for broadcasting and receiving moving pictures and sound by means of digital signals, in contrast to analogue signals used by analogue (traditional) TV. There are a number of different ways to receive digital television. One of the oldest means of receiving DTV (and TV in general) is using an antenna (known as an aerial in some countries).
The purpose of this article is to take a look at what is on offer with the new generation of Flat Screen Televisions available and in this case the television in particular is the LG P42PX5D.
The P42PX5D is a 42in Plasma TV and the prices for these would be in the region of 1650 pounds sterling or 3300 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1024 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The LG has 3 (1 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the P42PX5D uses is HDMI and 1. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the LG is available from a wide variety of outlets.
So how would we rate the LG P42PX5D?
Well to start with our score for the picture quality is 10 out of 10, and closely tied in to the picture quality is the sound quality and our score for this would be 8 out of 10. Taking a look at the number of relevant connections and their availability, our score would be 8 out of 10. As far as overall features are concerned we would give it 8 out of 10 and for ease of use and overall value for money we would give it, 8 out of 10 and 10 out of 10 respectively.
The overall verdict would be the thing about LG is that rarely can you be dissappointed by the displays and this is no exception. This is an overall winner we feel as a package it out punches TV and displays that are far more expensive. The pictures, as have been said are bright and have a nice wide colour range. Could go on about this one all night if we're not careful. If you have the cash and can justify it then you would not go far wrong with going for this Plasma TV.
The fact is that given the wide variety of models and makes available today you should find something that suites your needs as well as your wallet. The choice, as they say, is completely down to you to decide whether to stay at the forefront of what are rapidly changing technologies and fashion or to remain part of the safer but perhaps better developed mainstream. No matter what rout you take we hope that after reading this article you should be more informed as to the correct choice with which to take.
We ask all readers to remember that the information in this article regarding the price of the TV's are there for illustrative purposes and are meant as a guideline rather than an absolute quote and should be considered thus.
